Adoption:

It is our sincere wish to see every child that we care for placed into a loving family. We frequently hear from families that would like to adopt a child in our care. We must emphasize that we have no control over choosing families for our children. We depend on the CCAA to make those important decisions.

We do, however, work diligently to get each child in our care healthy enough to have their adoption dossier sent to the CCAA. We then fill out paperwork, take photos and dip their feet in blue ink to finish all the documentation. It is a very big (and very exhausting) day when we finish up some of our children's paperwork and send it off. We know that the process has started and soon this child, whom we have loved, cried over and cared for, will enter into his or her forever family.

In addition, we also keep detailed notes on each of our children and take as many photos as possible to provide to their new family.

To the best of our ability, we open our home to adoptive families who wish to bond with their newly adopted child in the child's 'home' environment. We find this facilitates security and allows for everyone involved to be at peace and form initial attachments.
